Re: Concerns of Financial Impact Regarding Redevelopment Dear Commissioners:

The Board of Directors of the Monte Rio Fire Protection District has concerns regarding the financial impact of the Redevelopment Agency on our district; several of them are listed here.

  • With the increase in population in the area, there will be an increased number of calls which will have a negative impact on our budget.
  • In the future we expect to find it necessary to hire some paid personnel.
  • Redevelopment may require specialized equipment with the possible building of larger/taller buildings.
  • Newly annexed area of Jenner will need a new Fire Station and new fire equipment.

    We ask that you not consider this Redevelopment Agency unless you can subsidize the District by means of TOT funds of other county funds to make us whole again.
