"Better Not Bigger: Grappling with Growth in Sonoma County"

Dear Friends of Sustainability,

In Sonoma County, one subject that is on everybody's mind is growth. Countywide people are concerned with the pace and type of growth and with the community impacts of such growth. They're hungry for strategies to help manage growth in their communities to ensure the environmental protection and quality of life we have come to know and love in the beautiful Redwood Empire, in Sonoma County.

We invite you to join us in an exciting Sustainable Sonoma County event: a one-day workshop with community planner and author Eben Fodor entitled: "Better Not Bigger: Grappling with Growth in Sonoma County," to be held on July 23 in Santa Rosa.

Fodor, based in Eugene, Oregon, is reaching audiences nationwide with his trailblazing book, Better Not Bigger: How to Take Control of Urban Growth and Improve Your Community. Sustainable Sonoma County, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Sustainable North Bay, is bringing Fodor to Santa Rosa to lead this intensive workshop to discuss the strategies put forth in the book within the context of our county.

We look forward to seeing you at this lively and meaningful event.
